Getting There
By Ferry
The cheapest and often the most convenient way to reach Moulin De Guinche is by ferry. One of the reasons we chose the Vendee was the easy access from UK ports without the long hard slog down to the south coast!

Moulin De Guinche is within easy reach of the French ports of Caen, St Malo, Cherbourg, Boulogne, Calais. etc. Calais remains the cheapest ferry route and the fastest is Caen or St Malo - allow 3 hours drive; Calais 6 hours. Our favourite cross channel route is to Caen.
By Air
The fastest way is of course to fly over and there are several low-cost routes available:
Ryan Air flights to Nantes from East Midlands, Bournemouth, Liverpool, Stanstead, Shannon, and Dublin.
Ryan Air flights to La Rochelle from Dublin and Stanstead.
Easyjet flights to Nantes from Gatwick or flights to La Rochelle from Stanstead.
Flybe flights to La Rochelle from Birmingham.
The house is just a 60 minute drive from Nantes or La Rochelle airports and 80 minutes from Poitiers.
